Brigadier General Dr. Md. Abdullah-Al-Harun (Retd) is a distinguished Bangladeshi physician and military officer, currently serving as the Director of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) in Dhaka since January 2021. He has held significant positions, including Project Director and Commanding Officer at Combined Military Hospital Dhaka, and Principal of the Army Medical Corps Center in Tangail. Dr. Harun earned his MBBS from Rajshahi Medical College, along with advanced degrees such as MPH and MMEd, and is a Fellow of both the College of General Practitioners (FCGP) in Dhaka and the Royal Society for the Promotion of Health (FRSH) in the UK.
